Covid Protocol

We are excited to welcome audiences back to Theatre in the Round!

UPDATED 3/16/2022

We recognize that the broader community may be relaxing COVID-19 prevention efforts, however the risk to live theatre remains, as even one identified case of COVID-19 among our artists working onstage or backstage has the potential to put a stop to performances – the intimacy of our venue increases that risk.

As such, we are continuing to abide by the following protocols until further notice.

We understand that this is not an ideal way to experience live theatre; THANK YOU for protecting other patrons, our artists, and our work by respecting these protocols; we are grateful for your generosity of patience as we continue to manage these risks.

All audience members, volunteers, and staff will be required to wear a mask that covers the nose and mouth inside the building, including throughout the entire performance. Masks will be made available for those who arrive without them. (Bandanas and neck gaiters are not considered acceptable masks.)

All audience members must be able to present proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or negative COVID test taken within 72 hours upon entrance of the theatre. Proof may include digital photos of vaccine cards or test results. Fully vaccinated means that you have completed a second dose of your vaccine at least 14 days prior to the performance you are attending. Please have your documentation READY when you enter the building to help prevent congestion in the lobby.

If you feel ill or have been exposed to COVID-19, you must stay home. Contact the box office during business hours to arrange an exchange.

Currently we are selling all performances at full capacity. As further health and safety guidelines are released, we will adjust protocols as necessary. Seating will be available starting 45 minutes prior to the start of the performance.

No food or drink will be allowed in the theatre.  We are temporarily pausing our Concessions services, although we will have water available. Masks may be removed only while drinking water.

With our new reservation system, tickets will now be available via E-ticket/print at home or Will Call.  You are encouraged to select the E-ticket option during checkout to minimize congestion at the box office. The box office will be open for Will Call starting one hour prior to the performance.

Our staff and artists will be fully vaccinated, we’ve upgraded our HVAC systems, and we have enhanced safety and cleaning protocols throughout the building. These protocols will be reviewed regularly.

While these polices are intended to ensure everyone at Theatre in the Round stays healthy and safe, they do not guarantee protection against COVID-19. Ticket holders assume their own risk when they enter the theater.
