Covid Protocol

We are excited to welcome audiences back to Theatre in the Round!

To ensure the health and safety of our patrons, artists, staff and volunteers, the following protocols will be in place until further notice for the coming 70th season, which opens on October 1, 2021.

All audience members, volunteers, and staff will be required to wear a mask inside the building, regardless of vaccination status, including throughout the entire performance. Masks must securely cover the nose and mouth and will be made available for those who arrive without them. (Bandanas and neck gaiters are not considered acceptable masks.)

All audience members, artists, volunteers and staff members must be fully vaccinated and be able to provide proof (digital or paper) of COVID-19 vaccination. Proof includes physical vaccination card or a photo of the card on a mobile device.  All audience members will be required to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID test result taken within 72 hours before attending a performance. Fully vaccinated means that you have completed your vaccine, whether it’s one dose or two, and the final dose was received at least 14 days prior to the performance you are attending.

Please have your documentation READY when you enter the building to help prevent congestion in the lobby.

Any audience members who are unable to be vaccinated may provide a negative COVID-19 test administered within 72 hours of the performance they are attending. Proof of a negative test result includes bringing a printed or digital copy of your test results. Ticket holders with COVID-19 symptoms or who do not meet these requirements will be able to exchange their tickets or request a refund (contact the box office at 612-333-3010 during business hours).

While these polices are intended to ensure everyone at Theatre in the Round stays healthy and safe, they do not guarantee protection against COVID-19. Ticket holders assume their own risk when they enter the theater.

With our new reservation system, tickets will now be available via E-ticket/print at home or Will Call.  You are encouraged to select the E-ticket option during checkout to minimize congestion at the box office. The box office will be open for Will Call starting one hour prior to the performance.

If you feel ill or have been exposed to COVID-19, you must stay home. Contact the box office during business hours to arrange an exchange.

Currently we are selling all performances at full capacity. As further health and safety guidelines are released, we will adjust protocols as necessary. Seating will be available starting 45 minutes prior to the start of the performance

No food or drink will be allowed in the theatre.  We are temporarily pausing our Concessions services, although we will have water available. Masks may be removed only while drinking water.

Our staff and artists will be fully vaccinated, we’ve upgraded our HVAC systems, and we have enhanced safety and cleaning protocols throughout the building. These protocols will be reviewed regularly.

We understand that these protocols are not an ideal way to experience live theatre. Given the uncertainties in the current public health environment, we THANK YOU in advance for helping us start off the season with the highest standards to prevent the spread of COVID-19 among audiences, artists, staff, and volunteers.  We are all in this together. We will adapt and update these policies as the environment changes.
