Twin Cities Shakespeare Festival

July 24-26  Ι  Rental 

Step into a weekend of romantic mayhem at the inaugural Twin Cities Shakespeare Festival at Theatre in the Round in Minneapolis.

The festival features a production of Shakespeare’s beloved comedy Twelfth Night, directed by Willie E. Jones III, featuring Craig Johnson as Malvolio, alongside George Bernard Shaw’s witty romantic comedy Overruled, directed by Michael McKitt. The festival also includes a staged reading of an exciting new play, Hanmi by Chinsook Kim Moore, directed by Willie E. Jones III.

A Summer into Fall Fashion Show & Pop-up, where Upcyclers and Secondhand Fashion collide to celebrate circular fashion in our community.  In this juried fashion show, ready-to-wear runway sets will be curated by local secondhand shops and upcycled designers, interspersed with solo couture trashion-fashion looks to show how far upcycling can push the boundaries of what’s possible.

Minnesota Fringe Festival

Theatre in the Round is proud to be a venue for the largest performing arts festival in the Midwest. Minnesota Fringe connects adventurous artists with adventurous audiences by creating open, supportive forums for free and diverse artistic expression.

The Minnesota Association of Community Theatre short play festival will be held at Theatre in the Round. Performances are on August 22.

Paranormal investigations with Our Paranormal Escapades

September 27, 6pm & 9pm  Ι  Special Event

David and Alysia Leonhardt of Our Paranormal Escapes (OPE) will once again be hosting paranormal investigations to support the theatre. This year, the investigations will be even bigger than before, with longer investigations in more locations within the theater. All ticket sales go to benefit Theatre in the Round.

March 13, 7:30pm  Ι  A 24-Hour Theatre Fundraiser 

Ten teams of artists compete to raise the most money and create the best new play in just 24-hours! Their 10-minute plays will be performed in a night full of fun new plays, prizes, and opportunities to successfully launch Theatre in the Round into the next 75 years!

Applications for fundraising teams will open in June of 2026.
