Kari Steinbach

Photo of Kari SteinbachKari has been a freelance director in the Twin Cities area for 20+ years. Her TRP directing debut was with Sense and Sensibility, followed by Romeo and Juliet, The Metromaniacs, The Government Inspector, and last season’s The Comedy of Errors. She has directed for Open Window Theatre (Sister Calling My Name), Lyric Arts (A Laura Ingalls Wilder Christmas, Good People), Phipps Center for the Arts (Becky’s New Car), Lex-Ham Theatre (An Enemy of the People at the James J. Hill House) and The University of Northwestern-St. Paul (Steel Magnolias, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Pride and Prejudice), where she is an adjunct instructor for both the English and theatre programs. Kari has produced and directed works for both the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and the Minnesota Fringe Festival, including a documentary theatre piece she wrote on the roller derby community in Minnesota.
