Audition Information: The Mysterious Affair at Styles

Performs: Weekends November 18-December 18 and a PWYC night on Monday, November 28

COVID Precautions​

TRP will continue to monitor positivity rates in the metro area and will follow recommendations provided by the CDC, State and Local Health departments to ensure a safe environment for all, including requiring the use of masks when recommended by the CDC or when requested by individual casts. TRP strongly recommends that all cast members stay up-to-date on COVID-19 vaccinations for their own personal safety.

In-Person Auditions​

Auditions will be held on Saturday, September 10 from 3-5pm (Doors open at 2pm) and Sunday, September 11 from 7 to 9 pm (Doors open at 6:00pm). Auditions will consist of readings from the script. Sign up online to submit a digital resume and/or headshot using this form. Advance sign up is recommended, but not required. CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS

LT. ARTHUR HASTINGS: (20s – 30s) a romantic and aspiring detective. Old friend to John.

JOHN CAVENDISH: (30s – 40s) trained as a barrister but settled down as a country squire. Older brother to Lawrence; husband to Mary.

LAWRENCE CAVENDISH: (20s – 30s) trained as a doctor, now an aspiring poet. Shy and reserved. Younger brother to John.

HERCULE POIROT: (40s+) famous detective, impeccable in manner and dress.

BAUERSTEIN: (50s) Medical specialist in poisons.

ALFRED INGLETHORP: (30s – 40s) recently married to Emily; her former secretary.

DETECTIVE JAPP: (40s – 50s)  long-time Inspector for Scotland Yard.

EVIE HOWARD: (40s – 50s) sensible, hard-working, loyal companion to Emily.

MARY CAVENDISH: (20s – 30s) hard-working, sensitive, a survivor. Married to John.

CYNTHIA MURDOCH: (20s) works in Dispensary at hospital, full of life. Ward of Mrs. Ingelthorp’s.

EMILY INGLETHORP: (60s – 70s) mistress of Styles Court; autocratic, socialite. Stepmother to John and Lawrence, newly married to Alfred Inglethorp.

DORCAS: (50s +) loyal parlor maid at Styles Court.
