In the arena, Wendy Resch Novak directed The Unexpected Guest, The Mousetrap, The Rainmaker, The Diviners, On Golden Pond, and Biloxi Blues. From 1992 to 2001, she was the artistic director for Skits Outreach Services (S.O.S. Players), a youth theater that tours shows on issues affecting young people. Wendy was assistant director on a Guthrie Christmas Carol, adapted The Velveteen Rabbit and The Princess and the Pea into musicals for the Youth Performance Company, and has directed at a number of local theaters.
